RAMNUKE

Stop guessing if your RAM is stable, start knowing it is.

RamNuke is the fastest, most rigorous, and exhaustive RAM stability tester on the market.

TORTR Test Engine

RamNuke features a fully proprietary testing engine, built from the ground up to focus purely on stress testing your RAM and its related subsystems like no other test before. The TORTR engine creates a custom test on each run specific to your computer's unique hardware configuration.

100% Certainty

RamNuke ensures that not only is your RAM stable regarding its speed, timings, and voltages, but it goes beyond to test stability across thermal dissipation, VRMs, and even the motherboard traces leading to your memory. RamNuke leaves nothing on the table when it comes to ensuring absolute stability.

Usable Everywhere

RamNuke supports all 64-bit versions of Windows going as far back as Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. It also supports Intel CPUs starting with the Core 4000 series and AMD CPUs starting with the Ryzen 1000 series. RamNuke is 100% portable and dependency-free.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose RamNuke?

RamNuke is built on a foundation of significant research into how RAM and its surrounding subsystems operate at a fundamental hardware level. This research was combined with the expertise of a career software engineer to develop a RAM stability test that is second to none. Everyone involved in creating RamNuke is an experienced overclocker who understands the limitations of other tools on the market. RamNuke is built by overclockers, for overclockers.

How should I configure RamNuke?

You should set CPU threads equal to the logical threads that your CPU has. Then, set the amount of RAM to use equal to your available memory minus a couple of gigabytes (this is to ensure that Windows can still function properly while RamNuke is active).

How do I determine if RamNuke has detected an error?

If an error is detected by RamNuke, the test will automatically stop and an error message will be displayed in the output box. Under extremely rare circumstances, RamNuke may produce an error in your RAM that it is unable to handle gracefully; this will result in RamNuke crashing completely or your computer getting a blue screen. In either case, it can be treated the same as an error detected and output by RamNuke itself, which is to say you have a portion of your RAM or its subsystems that are unstable.

How long should I run RamNuke?

For a quick validation that has been internally tested to catch 99.1% of errors, you should run RamNuke for 15 minutes without an error. For a full validation of your RAM and its subsystems, allow RamNuke to run for 6 hours uninterrupted.

Why don't I see 100% CPU usage when running RamNuke like I do with other RAM stability testing tools?

Other RAM stability testing programs rely on compute-heavy CPU mathematics in order to generate their workloads to test your RAM. RamNuke's proprietary TORTR testing engine instead relies on new methods that do a significantly better job at performing its core function of ensuring your RAM is 100% stable. As a result of this shift in testing methodology, you will see a lower overall CPU utilization that also fluctuates as your RAM is put through each distinct phase that makes up a full test cycle.

Why does monitoring software not work the same while RamNuke is running?

Some monitoring software may behave differently while RamNuke is running as a result of how the testing algorithm places load onto your RAM and its subsystems. Since RamNuke's workload is so incredibly heavy on your hardware, your monitoring software (like HWiNFO64) will often struggle to get the information it needs from your RAM in order to update properly or provide accurate readouts. Errors in monitoring software, like significantly longer times between updates or even incorrect information (like temperatures in the thousands), are not uncommon and are NOT a sign of errors or RAM instability.

What CPUs and Operating Systems does RamNuke support?

RamNuke supports all 64-bit Windows operating systems from Windows 7 forward.

RamNuke supports AMD Ryzen 1000 series and forward, as well as Intel Core 4000 series and forward.

RamNuke is 100% portable and dependency-free.
